Our commitment to an inclusive web experience — working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Report an accessibility issue: (424) 226-2662 · contact@thecenterppc.com

Our commitment

The Center for Performance & Preventive Cardiology is committed to ensuring that thecenterppc.com is accessible to people with disabilities. Everyone considering their cardiovascular health deserves equal access to information about the practice, our approach, and how to join.

We work continually to improve the experience for all visitors and to apply relevant accessibility standards. This statement was last reviewed in October 2026.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 define requirements for improving accessibility for people with disabilities, at three levels: A, AA, and AAA.

thecenterppc.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means some content does not yet fully meet the standard. The areas we know about are listed below, and we are actively working on them.

This site is also designed to align with applicable provisions of Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act as it pertains to public-accommodation websites.

Accessibility features in place

Semantic structure. HTML5 landmarks, a single page-level heading, sequential heading order, lists, and form structure throughout.

Skip-to-main-content link. A keyboard-accessible link appears on focus so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass navigation.

Image alternatives. Meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked as decorative so screen readers skip them.

Form labels. Every form field is programmatically associated with a visible label and exposed to assistive technology.

Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements are operable with a keyboard alone, with a high-contrast focus indicator showing where you are on the page.

Colour contrast. Body text and interface elements meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA ratio of 4.5:1, and 3:1 for large text and interface components. Text placed over photography or video carries a background scrim so that it remains legible.

Motion can be paused. A pause button in the lower corner of the home page hero stops the moving background for anyone who wants it, and your choice is remembered on your next visit. Animation and drifting background imagery also respect the operating system’s reduced-motion setting and stop automatically for visitors who have requested it there.

Silent background video. The background footage on our home page has no audio track and plays muted.

Language declared. The page’s primary language is identified so screen readers pronounce content correctly.

No PDFs. All content is presented as HTML rather than downloadable documents. If you need information in an alternative format, contact us and we will provide it within five business days.

Known limitations

Screen-reader testing. The site has not yet been formally tested end to end with screen-reader software. We intend to complete this review and will update this statement when we do.

Third-party components. Our waitlist form uses Google reCAPTCHA for spam prevention, which is provided by a third party and may not fully conform to our standards. If you have difficulty completing the form, contact us directly and we will add you to the waitlist ourselves.

Browser zoom and high-contrast modes. We have not yet formally verified behaviour at 200% browser zoom or under operating-system high-contrast settings.

Browsers & assistive technology

Browsers. Latest two versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on macOS, Windows, iOS and Android.

Keyboard. All site functionality is operable using a standard keyboard. No mouse is required.

Screen readers. The site is built to standards intended to support VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS and TalkBack. Formal testing is pending — see Known Limitations above.
